Who is Jugraj

I'm a lifelong Brampton resident and small business owner. I was born in Ward 3 at Peel Memorial, back when it was a full-sized hospital, and raised in Ward 4, where I attended Hickory Wood PS and Ray Lawson PS. I graduated from Jean Augustine SS, and took part in several weekend and summer programs at Turner Fenton SS and Brampton Centennial SS in Ward 3.

While attending university, I was elected to several roles, including Student Senator for the Faculty of Design, Undergraduate Student Representative on the Board of Governors, and Interim Executive Director of the Student Union. In each of these roles, I delivered meaningful change and fought for the needs of thousands of students, while also staying accountable and responsive to them.

Now I’m ready to put that experience to work at City Hall and work together to create change in our city. I think it’s time for a new generation of leadership.
